To apply for the ongoing and forthcoming examination aspirants have to fill an application form, the application form for all the post will be available at upsc.gov.in. UPSC Application Fee

Candidates have to pay the application fee for filling the form, aspirants are suggested to check their post fee from the official notification.

Procedure To Fill The UPSC Online Application Form

Step 1: Type “upsc.gov.in” on the google search engine and open it. As soon as you follow this step, the official website of the Union Public Service Commission will open.

Step 2: After that, you have to take your cursor towards the “recruitment” section visible at the menu bar of the home page. Now a drop-down list will appear, and you have to press the “Advertisement” link.

Step 3: On the next page, various notification link will appear, you have to press the appropriate link for the post you want to apply.

Step 4: A notification details in the PDF format will appear on your screen. You have to read the details and check your eligibility conditions. Must read every word of eligibility criteria carefully.

Step 5: Those aspirants who find the job suitable for them can fill the application form. To fill the form, you have to go to the homepage of the commission and press the “Apply Online” link from the right side of the page.

Step 6: Now press the appropriate link for the post you are going to apply.

Step 7: Now instructions page will be opened at your screen, read the instructions, and press the “Next” button.

Step 8: After that, accept all the conditions stated by the Union Public Service Commission and press the “Proceed” button.

Step 9: After that, if you have a Registration Id and password, then you can log in with the same. Candidates applying for the first time have to register themselves by pressing the “New Registration” button.

Step 10: Now the application form will appear at your screen as shown below-

Step 11: Fill the application form by providing all the required details, must ensure to provide all the accurate and fair information.

Step 12: After filling the details, recheck it and press the “Save & Continue” button.

 Step 13: Now, on the next step, you have to upload the scanned copy of required documents, you can check the size and format of the documents from the official notification.

Step 14: After that, go to the next step that is of paying the application fee. You can pay the fee via online mode as per the instructions provided by the UPSC.

Step 15: Finally, print a receipt of the application fee and the submitted application form for future use.

UPSC Number of Attempts     

  • For General category Candidates- Candidates can give the UPSC examination a maximum of 06 times till the age of 32 years.
  • For OBC category candidates- OBC aspirants can take the examination maximum of 09 times and till the age of 35 years.
  • For Physically disabled candidates- They can take the 09 attempts for clearing the UPSC exam.
  • For Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST): There is no limit for the SC/ST candidates to take the examination and can appear for the exam until 37 years of age.

Admit Card

The admit card is essential to appear for the examination. Aspirants will not be allowed to write the UPSC examination without a valid admit card. The call letter will be uploaded on the official website of UPSC. Only those aspirants will be allowed to download the call letter who had successfully submitted the application form.

Result
